You ILS posters seem like a knowledgeable and interesting lot, and I bet you all smell great, so:

I was thinking I would like to be the kind of person who always smells like something specific, especially because I have a tendency to form very strong olfactory associations, but I don't know how to go about finding a perfume/cologne/whatev that will smell good on me. Also a lot of perfumes give me a raging headache.
It's totally old lady of me, but I've gone through cold weather phases of wearing Cinnabar from Este Lauder since I was in high school, but it's too heavy to wear all the time and sometimes I am just not feeling it.

i have a lot of sensitivities these days, so i mostly avoid scents. some of my lotions are scented though...i like vanilla especially, as long as it's not too warm/sweet of a scent.
i've found that fragrances vanish on me very very quickly, so it seems pointless to find a scent that smells nice because it's gone within an hour. there was a lush scent that i really loved...flying fox. but it disappeared on me too quickly, so i traded it on makeupalley. doesn't look like they carry the scent anymore.
it's really weird how difft smells translate on difft people. my roommate at my old apartment wore a scent that was very distinctive, but that i didn't recognize til i saw the bottle. it was a fragrance i'd worn all during college. it smelled unrecognizable (but pretty) on her.
