You see them everywhere in mags and tv shows but I find that in real life wearing one during the daytime makes you look like a waiter or a teenager who's late for the prom. What's the verdict?

i want to say that this is one of those things that some people can pull it off, but i cant really think of anyone who i might see wearing a black suit in the day time where id go "he looks good" instead of "wheres the funeral"

works for me, those are the only times i would ever need to wear a suit. wore one with a white collarless shirt to an interview with "business casual" dress code last week, i felt sharp enough.

You can do a darker charcoal suit if you want dark. Black is for orchestra musicians.
