i am so cold and have no jacket that is in between early-fall and full-on-winter, so put on this old leather coat i have and can't seem to give up even though i never wear it, and it just creaks whenever i move - i'm sitting here typing and it's making noise! agh!

i'm totally not wearing this to the show i'm going to tonight - even thrown over my arm, it will drown out the music!

shoes that creak or make a hollow rather than solid click on the ground also cannot be abided

It always reminds me of that Seinfeld where George was paranoid his boss would judge the whooshing noise of his pants! It's infectious paranoia.

my otherwise fine pair of beckenbauers (black, silver stripes) do a creak-squeak when i walk in them. it's maddening.

I had a phase of trying to dress like Richard Brautigan which meant wearing a lot of snappy vintage men's shoes and damn those shits are like wearing tap shoes.

I was used to wearing sneakers which sound like...sneaking.

Totally outing myself here, but I have a pair of a non-Spanx um undergarments, and they make a zippy sound when I walk. They're awesome in every other way but just...no.

Curduroys! I had a date who insisted walking me home (a long walk) and then proceeded to comment on the swish swish of my pants.

I have a pair of shoes (eccos) that squeak on the floors at my office. they make me wanna die whenever I'm not walking on carpet, but I paid $150 for them, so what the fuck can I do?

i had a pair of really cute red pointy flats that used to make little tiny fart noises (poof poof poof poof) when i walked and i refused to stop wearing them because i liked them so much
but i have since said goodbye, RIP noisy shoes i loved
