I've got a Jack Spade messenger bag which I'm planning to keep a very long time

i dig it though. it reminds me of freitag bags - which i like but they are $$

I miss those old Tesco bags. In extreme wet weather conditions it was possible to fashion a waterproof vest from one.

I will try and photograph my actual one which is a bit different, although this is a bit tricky as I left my camera charger in New York.

Actually a bag made from the recycled side of a UK curtain sided freight wagon would probably have "PIMP" or something spraypainted across it.

I'm surprised that no-one has taken this idea and done it with, say an Eddie Stobbard trailer.

My Jack Spade bag lasted a good 4 years. The velcro wore out, there were holes in the lining and it faded.

Matt and Nat have new fall bags.

oooh i saw a similar, more grey/less purple one at filene's basement a few weeks ago for only like $300.

hey i need a bag that is good for caring business/school things but is not an ugly backpack but also not messenger bag. any ideas? used a nine west tote last year but the law and accounting books and water bottles were too much weight for the poor thing and it seems to have died. i would like something in a similar vein - professional, sleek, could double as a v v large purse perhaps - but that may hold up a little better. i think i will have fewer books to carry this year (pipe dreams lol).

wtf - marimekko is doing backpacks? I had the classic marimekko messenger bag for a good ten years before switching to Jack Spade

Not sure whether I like or not. I like the pattern but worried it looks a little to italian school kid.

ha.. there are no italian school kids in DC. do they still wear invicta backpacks in absurd neon colors? like, all of them?

if they would make a tote bag with a blue leopard that would be better, maybe i should visit the marimekko shop & see..

Need a stylish, professional-looking messenger bag that doesn't scream 'laptop bag', but is one. Could customize a timbuk2 with polkadots, I guess.
