As in Queen's RT, apparently.

search: 'i'm in love with my car'

calum, Friday, 20 December 2002 08:08 (twenty-three years ago)

andrew is blowing his own metaphorical trumpet as i reckon he looks like roger taylor. i don't know why i think that. they have different hair. but yes, roger taylor was a comely lad. so is it established yet, that RT wrote radio gaga?

di smith (lucylurex), Friday, 20 December 2002 08:30 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, he did - he was the last member of the group to write a UK Top Ten hit, but that they all did write one is something in itself. I saw them live on TV once and his singing voice was facking terrible, but he had a great drum sound once (take a bow, Roy Thomas Baker). RT might have become a dentist too had Queen not hit the big time.

Damian (Damian), Friday, 20 December 2002 09:39 (twenty-three years ago)

have you guys searched i'm in love with my car yet? download it or something, it's great!

calum, Saturday, 21 December 2002 11:28 (twenty-three years ago)

i know someone who thinks "radio gaga" sux. RUDE!

di smith (lucylurex), Sunday, 22 December 2002 00:27 (twenty-three years ago)

Radio Ga Ga is great, but I find it bites the hand that feeds Queen...it just seems a bit rich for a band who were so successful in the video format to whinge about how we hardly need to use our ears.

Damian (Damian), Sunday, 22 December 2002 08:03 (twenty-three years ago)

two weeks pass...
Update- Anton thinks I look like Shakira and wants to start a fake Sh. porn site featuring me. I need to dye my chest hair blonde first, though.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 5 January 2003 10:36 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't think he's right, btw

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 5 January 2003 10:48 (twenty-three years ago)

tell anton he should know better: there is only one shakira, and that is dean.

di smith (lucylurex), Monday, 6 January 2003 06:41 (twenty-three years ago)

Er.. is that the same Dean that is rumoured to look like T.V.? Or am I thinking of someone else entirely?

Livvie, Saturday, 11 January 2003 03:27 (twenty-three years ago)

the one and the same. he is your chameleon of lurve.

di smith (lucylurex), Saturday, 11 January 2003 22:55 (twenty-three years ago)

So..er...underneath his clothes is Tom Verlaine, then?

Livvie, Thursday, 16 January 2003 09:44 (twenty-three years ago)

eight months pass...
everything you deserve, for being such a good girl.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 5 October 2003 07:32 (twenty-two years ago)

So he's the drummer, right? Their names are too standard English type, I can't remember the rhythm section's

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 5 October 2003 09:19 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah roger is the drummer. john deacon played bass.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 5 October 2003 22:17 (twenty-two years ago)

In the song The Invisible Man, everyone in the band is introduced. Freddie goes "Rrrrrroger Taylor" and then Taylor launches into a bigass drum roll. It's rather good.

Damian (Damian), Monday, 6 October 2003 08:28 (twenty-two years ago)

i even like bryan may's solo in that song. its cosmic!!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 6 October 2003 09:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Good, Roger's second only to Freddie in looks in that band I reckon. We've just watched the video a couple of times and Elisabeth told me they had to keep starting again cos they couldn't stop laughing, you can really see Roger forcing himself not to crack up in the 'Bismillah!' bits.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 6 October 2003 10:39 (twenty-two years ago)

It's not hard to be second in looks when your competition is Brian Mays and John Deacon. Roger Taylor isn't bad-looking though. I wish Brian Mays would cut his hair, it's been the same for about 35 years.

Livvie Tapper (Livvie), Monday, 6 October 2003 21:20 (twenty-two years ago)

battle of the female impersonators!

roger taylor as a schoolgirl in the "i want to break free" video
VS
britney spears as a schoolgirl in the "hot me baby one more time" video.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Monday, 6 October 2003 22:58 (twenty-two years ago)

HOT me?! I like it.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 6 October 2003 23:12 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah ha it sounds like it could be a bad subtitle from "chinese torture chamber story"!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 7 October 2003 08:47 (twenty-two years ago)

twenty-one years pass...

Blimmin' eck...had no idea that Roger Taylor's first solo single was a 'cover' of The Parliaments'I Wanna Testify'...Never knew there was a Queen/Parliament connection
