As the original founder of this board, previously known as I Hate Everything, I think it's time to reclaim and return to its roots.

I hate that comics are considered zines. I hate that I am a failure. I hate myself.

eli tell your i hate everything origin story if you feel up to it

Back in, I dunno, 2002 or 2003 maybe, I started this board called I Hate Everything as a joke because of the I Love Everything board. That's why so many of the early posts here start with "I Hate..."

We got a lot of traffic from people who googled I hate everything, so a lot of random angry posts. Adrian McCoy being the most famous, he went on to be arrested for sending death threats to members of Korn lol.

I changed the name to I Rate Everything at some point to quell all the angry posts a bit.

You can see my early posts under the name Elisabeth, I have since transitioned FTM and have been known as Eli for 15 years now.

My then-friend 'Andrew Thames' was also involved in starting this boaes, but he turned out to be a manipulative evil piece of shit who sexually assaulted several women. Our friendship came to an abrupt end when he threw me to the ground at a party and threatened to beat the living shit out of me. He died alone as a sad old alcoholic.

Anyway I woke up feeling very angry for a range of reasons so I thought I'd come back here and post.

Honestly did not expect anyone to respond to my post! But this is the origin story.

i did a few early posts in 2005 but didn’t really start ruining my life here until 2008. i missed a lot of the early stuff, by just a few years. so i’m always interested in hearing about how foundational stuff happened.

i’m sorry to hear about the andrew thames saga. it can be hard to support people when they go on to hurt other people, badly. i hope you’re ok.
