2007-07-02 - OiNK.me.uk is no more

Because of the recent DNS issues, and the undesirable solution to fix them, we are changing the site's name from OiNK.me.uk to OiNK.cd.

The OiNK.me.uk domain will soon cease to function, and a full changeover will happen shortly. Please update your bookmarks.

Please also re-download any torrents you may have in your clients in order to update the tracker address. Torrents downloaded from now on will contain 2 tracker addresses, the new OiNK.cd domain, and the tracker's IP address, which should make any future DNS issues less serious. They will also contain the site's IP address in the torrent comment field, in case of future problems.

Sorry about the inconvenience, but we deem the name change necessary for the continuation of the site.

So what are you waiting for? OiNK that CD already! (I guess this means a new slogan contest?! wink).

2) I didn't know about rockism before you asked me. Wikipedia, and it's external
links didn't help, they seems ridiculous to me.
Although i managed some understanding by reading the posted answers.
In terms of music, it seems to be located in time when blues and rock'n'roll
exploded with artists like Steppenwolf, then Hendrix and friends from when the
outdoors concerts where all free (before Woodstock).
I think that psychedelic rock'n'roll derivates took their plain dimension during
Vietnam, where it united the world's younth and olds for peace and respect of
earth.
A good example of rockism might be The Wall movie.
I am probably not correct because i didn't know about rockism, i tryed to get an
idea from what J Ruckus and Tom N said.

3) I didn't know about Cat Power. I enjoy their music and my favourite picture

I didn't know anything about Deerhoof before you asked me.
I listenned to his music on myspace ...
Although the artist has a lot of inspiration, i couldn't appreciate the first
time.
Personnaly, I expect discographies and excellent albums from bluesmen like John
Lee Hooker, BB King, Blind John David, Albert Colins ...
I didn't know about Sufjan Stevens before you asked me either. I am not
particularely fan but my wife likes it and my 8 month-old son seems to
appreciate as well, i can tell this because he seems singing (iiiiiiiiiii) and
uses his ballon like a drum and smiles.
