"Let's just be friends"

Why does my ex still want to be friends, when I have told him in very specific terms that the idea causes me serious emotional pain? Am I correct to say that this man is selfish for expecting me to put aside my feelings and be friends?

And do I have legitmate reason to put my booted foot so far up this man's ass that I leave a footprint on his tongue?

they always want to be friends so they can play even more games with your feelings. put that boot up his ass, and i don't mean metaphorically baby.

Yeah or they pretend to be friends to yr face when they really not yr friend at all and are mean. It's dishonest.

i couldn't agree w/ you more. they want some degree of control. DONT GIVE IT

Guys are assholes. I remember when my girlfriend broke up with her exboyfriend and they tried to be really mature about it and "still be friends". It caused a lot of problems in our relationship and it just isn't worth it. I know his whole motive for "staying friends" was so he could still have some part of her and shove it in my face, so I mean, there really is not GOOD motive for staying friends. If it's over, then it's over. Say goodbye and while you're aiming that boot, try to take his balls along for the ride up his ass.

yeah, my girlfriend is still friends w/ her ex-boyfriend. in fact they live in the same fucking apartment. and he still tries to emotionally manipulate her into giving him attention/affection. the whole situation is awful - EXES BE DAMNED!

(not serious either)

still care about her = irrelevant. yr feelings of "caring for" another person might get in the way of actually what's best for the person.

speaking in the general second person, not speficially nor directed toward you or anyone in particular. (hahhaha here we go again)
