sadly the producers cut out all of outkast's admission that miami bass was their biggest inspiration before discovering de la soul

driven never speaks to the artist directly on camera. producers get approval from artist's management.

shows are done in two stages. development, then production. at that time, i was one of two people on development. the other was my boss, who mostly coordinated.

after wrinting the bio and base story, i rounded up and pre-interviewed nearly every person (if not every person) that appeared on camera. outkast does not appear on camera.

i take that back...i didn't interview la reid. he has some sort of deal with the channel to be on call or something. i'd LOVE to interview him for my own interests.

another ilxor has a special friend who worked on the production team after i passed it off, but i will not call out said ilxor here.

i worked on dozens of them, but the green day one and outkast turned out best. larry livermore of lookout records is a really great dude to talk to.
