I hate forwards

I hate these simpleminded "American Pie" assholes who feel the need to send me crap in my email about the decadence of the people in this country who don't share their biblical views. The last one claimed that God has abandoned us, and listed the fact that we don't hit our kids anymore as one of the reasons. Since when was hitting people a Chrstian principle? I also hate that these people are allowed to voice their opinions, but freedom of speech seems to stop when you voice opinions against the Imperialism of America. All of a sudden, you "hate America" and "don't appreciate all the freedoms you have." (And since when was this war about defending our freedoms as Americans? I get that a lot too.)

"Spare the rod and spoil the child" Blackfox.... you can find a justifiable reason for doing a lot of things in the bible... like smoking marijuana.... Genesis chapter 1 verse 29: "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is up upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be meat." So pretty much if it brings forth seed it has some purpose to bring us sustinance, and it's in god's will to put it to some purpose, right? So who's got the herbage, brothers and sisters?

Somebody said once that "Religion is the opiate of the masses"... quite possibly... I just hate when structured religious dogma overruns somebody's ability to interpret the bible or the koran or whatever for themself.

That sounds about right... at the time I was writing the quote, I was too lazy to put it into google and see what turned up... how sad is that?
