Well,um,I do,but thats not the point I am trying to make.I just hate the fact that these fucking little idiots just always talk about how hardcore they are compared to nu-metal,and it makes me sick."Look everyone,I look all creepy and gothic,so if you like rap or if you like Korn or anything with a speck of rap in it,it automatically sucks and I am surperior and stronger than you because I listen to rock that involves daeth and darkness and fucking lame satanic worship bullshit".I dont respect Marilyn Manson or Cradle of Filth or Dimmu Borgir or Bugar or Burger or any of that vampire trash shit.And I love Xzibit and Korn,ICP,Cypress Hill,and I dont give a shit who doesnt.You might be asking yourself,well,what did black metal ever do to you?I dont give a shit if you listen to even Garth Brooks,as long as you dont put down rap/rock and something that is better than some of the mindless garbage these bands spew out to their closed minded brainless fans.All these bands do is talk trash.I dont like it and never will,and it doesnt make me a pussy because I dont,that is the metality that I hope to fucking erase,permanently.No one said who had to go by any guidelines or that rock had any rules,its whats in between hip-hop and rock that is more interesting and open minded.True,I was not around long enogh to hear all the older heavier stuff,but at least I can still kick the shit out of those bands any day.Besides,Korn founded the whole movement,then greed and Mass promotion took the idea and made clones of the originators,so dont blame them,blame the greed of the Corporations that only give a shit about money.Splattergod records is a prime example.Because if you go to the site,you will find that the Yahoo listing for the site is "Fuck Nu-metal,fuck Rapcore a all that shit and fuck your dead jew on a stick".There are too many sites bashing anything that isnt speed black metal bullshit.i hate all that crap.Period.and i dont care what anyone says,especially KS at Splattergod records website,he is the biggest little prick of all time.And if you ever meet him,tell him a guy named "The Leader" (My real name is none of your concern and would kick his sorry little ass till he bled like a little lose slutty girl on the rag.if there is anything I hate,i mean i hate this shit more than Dan the man's sarcasm or Lola's lack of taking a fucking joke,it is black metal european or Scandinavian bullshit metal,especially all those gothic sites dedicated to all that crap.Dont bother responding if you like all this shit,because i am proud to say that I like anything that is not all that speed metal bullshit.Splattergod records and all SAtanic rock sucks fucking big goat balls.Fuck KS and if you e-mail him,tell him Adrain said you suck ass.................................................

Korn isn't an originator of the hip-hop/metal fusion. That kind of thing has been going on for years before Korn put out their first album in '94... Rage Against the Machine put their first album out in '92, and they had already been playing together for a while.... hell, all you have to do is listen to Faith No More's music from the late 80's to see how long this rock/rap combo has been floating around. You could go further back to when Arrowsmith and Run DMC put out their mixed version of "Walk this Way", or back to the Beastie Boys who started out as a straight up punk band but started incorporating hip-hop into their music. If you want to hear when this current era of hip-hop/metal really came into it's own then you should check out the soundtrack to "Judgement Night", which came out in '93. Each track is a rap/hip-hop act paired with either a metal, punk, or "college rock" band.

And yeah, I like the darker bands too. I started out listening to more industrial shit like Skinny Puppy, the Revolting Cocks, KMFDM, Throbbing Girstle (If that counts...) and Devo (he he he)... I grew into Nine Inch Nails, Manson, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, and White Zombie. but I don't care much for Cradle of Filth or Type o negative. I like what I like. I don't care who else listens to it, and wether or not they sacrifice a goat while they're doing it. Who gives a fuck. I listen to Lou Reed, Johnny Cash, Bach, the Talking Heads, and Stevie Wonder too (I particularly like Inner Visions). It's just music. If it does something for ya, listen to it.

how would you hear most of the music you 'love' if it was not for the music industry? and you con't say that you would go to the gigs because you wouldn't know about any of these bands in other countries/other parts of the country really would you? and you can't complain that the music industry is a sell out industry is slightly nonsensical in the fact that a)if bands didn't 'sell out' they would not be as popular as they are, i.e. their music would likely not be to your taste as it has been tuned by the industry and b)you probably would not know about the band in the 1st place to judge whether they've 'sold out' or not. granted if they do sell out or whatever they may lose their previous goodness etc but surely it's their decision for a 'new thing' etc?

Well McCoy eberybody his own opinion BUT you can't say that every hardrock dan is a midless moran because it ain't.
(ow by the way I never visit this forum before sor this is the first tim and this is also the last time and not because I do't like it but because of all the stupid reaction)
But to go on I also don't like Hardrock trashmetal etc. but a friend of my does and he completed his school + univursity (I'm Dutch so please don't care about my typing)
but that completly destroys your opinion about every hadrocker is a mindless hard rocker so please you can heave your opinion but stick to the facts right??

Okay. So all this about broadening your horizons, and not being against anything with rap in it. I like rap-metal/nu-metal. I like ICP, Cypress Hill, Rage Against the Machine, even Eminem, etc. Whatever. But I also love Marilyn Manson, Korn, Nine Inch Nails, Thrill Kill Kult, and all that kind of music. I love techno. I even listen to classical and country. My tastes are broad.
But in all of these articles, what I cannot understand is why the majority of you feel the need to put down two forms of people who have never done a fucking thing to you (Satanists and homosexuals). Several times in these articles the word "fag" is used (which shows such a lack of articulate vocabulary [okay, whatever, call me a stuck-up piece of shit for using big words - I know you will]...). And all this talk about goat-worshipping Satanists used in an insulting manner, what the hell Satanist ever did anything to you!?
If any of you had ever put aside your own closed-mindedness, and had even flipped through a fucking copy of The Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey, you might know that Satanists don't sacrifice goats or anything else.
But no. Most of you dense assholes (except a few exceptions) are too busy in your mission to promote rap-metal, nu-metal *whatever*, and putting down awesome, respectable get-ups and presentations like Marilyn Manson and Korn, therefore closing your mind in this argument in which you tell us that we are closed-minded for disagreeing with you. Yeah right. Grow up. Get over it.
People like you never amount to anything. Good luck cleaning the stalls in the bathroom in the back of Pizza Hut while you listen to your *awesome rap-metal CD's* and bitch about how much you hate Marilyn Manson and those "stupid, goat-sacrificing Satanists."
