I hate the order they announced the "artists"/whatever, in... in alphabetical oder, BY FIRST NAME. Grow up! Arrrr!

Also it's annoying they use Carson Daly to present... I think he's some MTV presenter goon, I don't really know, but who knows who he is outside the US?

yeah, the alphabetical thing was annoying. as were the parodies.

michael jackson thinking he'd won artist of the millenium was hilarious tho.

I didn't watch it either, but I am gonna use this forum to express my hate of Pink. That song where she is WHINING because she doesn't look like Britney Spears? What a fucking load of shit. I am very surprised anyone bought it. But actually now that I think about it back when she did more R&B stuff she wasn't all that bad? What happened?

Nope, TRL isn't shown in Europe (but I think I've caught snippets of it on The Osbournes -- it's live from a studio full of screaming teens in NYC, right?).
Must agree that the lure of Carson Daly goes waaay over my head. Just comes over as smarmy. Isn't Eminem in love with him?
There's another US MTV presenter who this sort of creepy older guy ... speaks r-e-a-l-l-y s-l-o-w-l-y and kisses almost as much arse as Zane Lowe.
When it comes to sucking celebrity cock, no-one tops Zane Lowe. Not even Richard Blackwood.

I hate Pink's music but I think she's kind of cute.
She seems to think she's pretty tough but Britney could probably have her. In fact, I'd like to see Pink versus k.d.lang. k.d.

one month passes...

Pink's music mow is worse than the stuff she did pre-'LET-ME-TRY-IN-VAIN-TO-LOOK-LIKE-A-ROCK-ARTIST' mode. Now she produces formulaic, tuneless drivel that's not even worthy of further criticism...

Anyway, getting back to the main topic - MTV sucks in general, not just the awards show. The whole channel is a big figure of vacuous nonsense that can normally only grasp my attention span for half a minute (if they just happen to have something different on) before I envelop myself in something more interesting. They play only four videos and I think the only time I watched it was when the Real World was on. And what's with that bloody shitfest 'Undressed'?! Does it even have a story?
