I went to brownie camp at Kaiteriteri it was a smurf theme camp but I was too crappy to be able to make any of the crafts we were supposed to but my sister made a plaster Smurfette figure and painted it badly. I was so homesick that camp. I got some badge where I recited a bunch of stuff - probably some bible verses. And our cabin leader read us the Iron Giant at night when we were in bed; it was exciting, and sad when the iron giant crashed over the cliff

i used to have a smurf cap and a smurf purse, a windup smurf that played brahms lullaby, and a smurf beach towel. that beach towel is still in oamaru somewhere.
