Isn't it great? Hell yes!

Broccoli & blue cheese pizza - 9
Chilli bean pizza - believe it or not this is really good! 8
But the best pizza I ever had was a plain tomato, basil and cheese pizza from this Italian place in Wellington. It was divine. 10.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 02:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Pizza overall 10. I think I've had more consistently delicious meals w/pizza than w/any other food. Pizza Hut Seafood Supreme 9! w/extra sauce. Eagle Boys was great, too. And that pizza in Wellsford or wherever, and apparently most pizza I've ever had.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 02:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Nature's most imperfect food. And all the greater because of that!

j.lu (j.lu), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 02:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Pizza is my favourite food, overall 10. The best kind is chicken, apricot and cream cheese. The dessert pizza from Pizza Hut is also delicious.

Livvie (Livvie), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 03:17 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey Roo remember when we had pizza in Warkworth? It was pretty great I guess. The best thing about it was that it was this little pizza place I dimly remembered going to about 15yrs ago, and it was still there! Right where I remembered!. Hell, that's Warkworth for you I spose.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 03:28 (twenty-two years ago)

I've been wanting that dessert pizza for years! It was one the menu at the last Pizza Hut we went to, so I guess there's still hope. I still can't believe for years I'd only eat Hawaiian.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 04:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah Warkworth, that's where I was meaning! I mix them up a lot. The pizza was pretty tasty.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 04:32 (twenty-two years ago)

hey wow my parents friend ran/runs the warkworth pizza place. when i was a kid he use to make me bannana splits with extra extras. brocolli and blue 9/10, saltydogg from royal oak 8/10 though it might be meaty last time i had it i was 11 and non-veg, lots of stuff on homemade yeastybase 8/10, anton dclmc pizza 8/10 higher when you havent got any nice food at home, bakebean pizza 5/10 higher with under ten yr olds, yumyumyum

ducklingmonster, Tuesday, 11 November 2003 07:09 (twenty-two years ago)

oops (Oops), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 10:20 (twenty-two years ago)

etc, Tuesday, 11 November 2003 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Hey is there Hell Pizza in Auckland now? Cos that's like my favourite takeaway place in Wellington. Yah expensive but good good good.
Has anyone tried Dominos yet? Or heard about it etc? They had a couple places in some far-flung Welly suburbs last I heard, and I think that was about all.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 14:23 (twenty-two years ago)

My god I must have been working for too long - I just had to check 'flung' in the dictionary cos it looked so stupid.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 14:25 (twenty-two years ago)

wasn't there a thread months ago about people hating pizza? i personally bum it to bits, but there are those opposed to it!:o

jonathan gittins (nevermind^), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 16:42 (twenty-two years ago)

i like pizza every once in a while. i had a tomato and cheese one the other day; expensive but good!

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah I think so, at first I thought this was it refreshed.
I rate satay chicken pizza 8/10

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Tuesday, 11 November 2003 23:07 (twenty-two years ago)

Ah I guess I have no sense of/respect for ILX history. O well! Could someone explain what a dessert pizza is? Does it have a sweet base? Do they use chocolate sauce instead of tomato sauce? Sprinkles instead of basil? Marshmallow instead of cheese? Lollies instead of olives? Man that sounds pretty good anyway.

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 00:31 (twenty-two years ago)

&one of these days I'm gonna make a thread that's not about food, promise!

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 00:32 (twenty-two years ago)

i miss pizza-to-go-go a whole bunch. they had all my favourite pizzas: brocolli and blue cheese, guacamole bean, mediterranean. mmmm. i live behind zuchinni brothers but have not tasted their wares yet. dessert pizzas sound really WRONG.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 01:15 (twenty-two years ago)

Stephanie used to give the Zucchini Bros. pasta mad props, I dunno if she ever tried their pizza tho.
Yeah I guess a dessert pizza sounds pretty weird inasmuch as it's a pizza, I'm really just imagining some kind of great big doughnut or flattish cake with lots of stuff on top. Mmmmm, great big doughnut.

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 03:05 (twenty-two years ago)

i like my pizzas meaty beaty big and oily

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 03:14 (twenty-two years ago)

the surface noise (electricsound), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 03:14 (twenty-two years ago)

jim, you need to come to chicago. the pizza selection here is one of the few things keeping me here. that and being broke as a joke.

Yeah there's Hell Pizza here now, haven't tried it though. According to the Listener Domino's is running a superhighly workedout marketing plan in Wellington, I don't remember if it is/is planning to get anywhere else. I hope so, though I'm pretty happy w/Pizza Hut.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 13:01 (twenty-two years ago)

Dessert pizza! Last time I had it, it was like an apple pie/crumble but in pizza form, it was delicious!!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 12 November 2003 23:41 (twenty-two years ago)

ECSTATIC! But I like McDonald's sometimes too, don't listen to me

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 13 November 2003 04:59 (twenty-two years ago)

only the banana one sounds bad - the other two aren't that weird, are they?

moonship journey to baja, Monday, 20 July 2009 03:57 (sixteen years ago)

Spent said $20 bill on pizza w: mango chutney base, cheese (duh), pineapple, mushroom...and another thing that I forget. And a beer. It was fucking dope. Oh and the pizza is called the Dimmer after the band and even though I've never heard them I think that's pretty tyte.

I made pizza again on Sunday:

(All w/San Marzano tomato/garlic/basil/sauce and all with buffala mozzarella and olive oil on the crust.)

-Thinly sliced fennel, fennel fronds, crottin (goat cheese), picholines, herbes de Provence;

-Arugula, roquefort, fresh oregano;

-Feta, picholines, basil (and some cumin in the dough).
