Schwingung (Damian), Monday, 17 November 2003 09:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Because I am so deeply stupid I didn't even know JD put 'Dead Souls' out before "Closer". Fuck.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 09:21 (twenty-two years ago)

Justyn Dillingham (Justyn Dillingham), Monday, 17 November 2003 09:46 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes. He's the realest, man. I second "Get Up" equally strongly btw

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 09:47 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm pretty sure my favourite is New Radio +2, and I'd highly recommend "Oh Bondage Up Yours/I'm a Cliche" if I only owned it! Others: Don't You Want Me, Atomic, Outdoor Miner, Nothing Can Stop Us, O Superman + about 50 more. I second heaps of the things mentioned already, I can't be bothered typing them again though.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 17 November 2003 09:54 (twenty-two years ago)

I second all of those strongly except "New Radio" which I firsted

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 09:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Lets get parochial! The Clean - "Tally Ho", Shane Carter/Peter Jefferies - "Randolf's Going Home", Snapper - "Buddy"

I thought of way more! Velouria, Waterfalls, Jumpin Jack Flash, Substitute, SOS, Our Lips are Sealed, Like a Prayer, Playgirl. I'm enjoying this too much, I never really think that much about which are singles etc.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Who's this Anthony fellow? He sounds like a stand-up guy so far.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Coconut Rough - "Sierra Leone"

Minty (Minty), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:08 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:10 (twenty-two years ago)

There are just too many good singles to choose from! As for SY I'd maybe choose Teenage Riot, but probably go for both of them too.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Iggy Pop "Lust for Life"!

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:14 (twenty-two years ago)

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:16 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm a quiet Radiohead obsessive so I guess that makes me Melissa W.

Map Ref 41N 93W has not yet been mentioned, and it was a single. A FACKING GREAT one at that. Yes, I meant to say facking.

Schwingung (Damian), Monday, 17 November 2003 10:18 (twenty-two years ago)

APHEX TWIN WINDOWLICKER. Also 'Feed Me With Your Kiss', by My Bloody Valentine. And 'Ace of Spades' by Motorhead, and 'Sheena is a Punk Rocker' by the Ramones.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 17 November 2003 11:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah, Windowlicker needed to be mentioned. Warm Leatherette is also quite great. But Di should be posting on this here thread, I know she'll pick some things I sympathise with.

Schwingung (Damian), Monday, 17 November 2003 11:30 (twenty-two years ago)

Since she's not here, I'll nominate "Take On Me" by A-Ha and "Broken Wings" by Mr Mister.

Minty (Minty), Monday, 17 November 2003 11:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Thank you, I wholeheartedly agree with both of these choices.
