mel c - 10, baby - 9, mel b - 8, posh - 6, ginger - originally 6 but then she went and ruined it by breaking up the group, DAMN YOU GINGER FOR MAKING ME CRY. anyway now i've relegated her to -2, just for her lamentable solo career. mel c's "northern star" is really incredible though, i wish i was her.

When I was 8 and the Spice Girls were my favourite group I always liked Geri the best (cause she had red hair) and Mel C the least. Nothing much has changed, really.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 09:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I always liked Mel C the best and Victoria the least.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 10:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Who's heard the lesser known B-side BUMPER TO BUMPER?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 10:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm pretty sure I have, I've forgotten it though. I was always Geri when we pretended to be the Spice Girls and I made my cousin be Mel C. I was Geri in a production once as well.

Livvie (Livvie), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 10:43 (twenty-one years ago)

If you take the 'r' out of 'rate', this thread rings truer for me, just because I ate at least one chocolate Spice Girl.

Schwingung (Damian), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 10:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Bumper to Bumper is like the funniest song ever - they try to talk in these "sexy" voices and they just sound silly!

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 11:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i have "bumper to bumper," it's on the "wannabe" single, don't remember how it goes though.

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

i have the CD single of wannabe but i haven't gotten so far as to listen to bumper to bumper.

baby 10/10, scarey 8/10, sporty 8/10, posh 6/10, ginger 0.

how i feel about the spice girls: here and here

i believe i explained my adoration of this band in full on IRE's greatest album ever made thread.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 20:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Listen to it!! Now! I wish I still had my Wannabe single.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Wednesday, 26 November 2003 22:30 (twenty-one years ago)

i can't. its in dunedin. i'm not there.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 27 November 2003 00:00 (twenty-one years ago)

it was the spice girls who first introduced me to the idea that feminism isn't a swear word (or shouldn't be at any rate). though it was a couple years later that i actually became a feminist.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Thursday, 27 November 2003 01:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Same as E. about favourites, but I disliked Geri about as much as Victoria. There was a really long funny debate about Victoria in Real Groove in 1995 or whenever they were big, it centred around whether "gaunt and munted" was an accurate description of V's appearnace.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 27 November 2003 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

god i'm so sick of debate about the spice girls centring around tjheir bodies.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 28 November 2003 01:30 (twenty-one years ago)

that wasn't aimed at anyone here.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 28 November 2003 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

What is everyone's favourite SG song? Mine's Stop.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 07:32 (twenty-one years ago)

fave SP-associated song: mel c's "suddenly monday." this song could lift me from the deepest gloom!

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Friday, 28 November 2003 08:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd like to reiterate E's opinion, that's my favourite too.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 08:51 (twenty-one years ago)

What's your second favourite??

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 08:59 (twenty-one years ago)

My favourite solo SG song is Never Be the Same Again by Mel C, geez I don't think ANY of the others had anything good. Did Victoria ever get round to putting anything out?? I hope not.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 09:00 (twenty-one years ago)

"Too Much", probably.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 09:02 (twenty-one years ago)

What's yrs?

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Uh duh, the same

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Wannabe, actually.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Well there you go, no reiteration for us. I like that one, but "Spice Up Your Life" has dumber/funnier lyrics and that hideously expensive looking video, and it's also very catchy, I dunno.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:10 (twenty-one years ago)

What about 2 Become 1?

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

"Colours of the world, spice up your life
Every boy, every girl, spice up your life
People of the world, spice up your life, AAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
The 'colours of the world/people of the world' thing weirds me out.

Schwingung (Damian), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I like that one better than "Wannabe" too! "Be a little bit wiser baby, put it on, put it on"

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:15 (twenty-one years ago)

"Yellow man in/Timbuktu"

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I probably do too actually. I'm finding it hard to think of Spice Girls songs for some reason.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I rate SPiceworld the movie 8/10

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:19 (twenty-one years ago)

and I rate RT's spice girls site 7/10 since all the best bits got taken out.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Elisabeth, why didn't we buy Spiceworld from Video Majic? I can't figure it out. It was there, wasn't it? My favourite bit of "Too Much" (tho I like the whole song) is Mel C's high note.

Andrew Thames (Andrew Thames), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:24 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm pretty sure it was there. I guess we didn't have much money or something, it'll probably turn up again though.

Elisabeth (Elisabeth), Friday, 28 November 2003 10:38 (twenty-one years ago)

victoria released a song called "out of your mind" around the same time as scarey's solo stuff and "holler". my favourite spice girls songs are probably 2 become 1, if you wanna have some fun and wannabe.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 30 November 2003 09:52 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
spiceworld is such a great movie! i give it 10/10.

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Friday, 19 August 2005 21:56 (twenty years ago)

i got a new spice girls book for my birthday! in it, sporty explains that her surname "rhymes with jism" and scarey drops lots of hints about being a lezzo.

di, Tuesday, 23 August 2005 23:49 (twenty years ago)

i thought scary got married.. or was that a front?
