Yeah, I keep bitching about this in other forums, but for the love of g-d why do those damn employers keep running those ads and not at least call me for a phone interview. It's possible that I'm overqualified, but how long would it take for those FuXoRing HR people to at least call me for a short interview?

And it's not like this would be a bad time to call me. This is a slow time in most workplaces, so I have no work. Unfortunately, that's not much use when it's time to pay bills. HR people are idiots, trained by monkeys. Idiot monkeys. This is why they [a] cannot see how great you are, [b] forget basic courteseys like timely rejection letters and [c] wonder why they have to keep re-advertising when they reject CVs for trifling reasons like a lack of Key Words in the Opening Paragraph [or banana-scented stationery, see above].

I sent my CV via email for one job, which the HR girl said she couldn't open so could i re-send. When it didn't work a second time, I posted it to her and sent an email saying "it's in today's physical post". She replied to that email saying i'd forgotten to attatch my CV, and 2 days later i got a form letter from her (personally signed) inferring the CV was unsolicited and would be held on file for any future vacancies.
