practise is the verb; practice is the noun

I thought practise was the English spelling and practice was the American. In any case, I'm pretty sure either can be used as a noun or a verb.

i believe if you're american, practice is used as both the verb and the noun. english spelling uses practise for the verb and practice for the noun (most people remember this by thinking "ice is a noun").

Uhm, that still says "practise" is a verb and a noun. It's probably American, tho. Isn't the "ice" thing just for where the verbs and nouns are pronounced differently?

HERDING CATS

i herd my cats to band practice sometimes. band mascot Runty loves cheese and stale beer.

Last night we practiced then went and crashed a party, amps and all. Inflicting country music on unsuspecting strangers 10/10.

i have band practice tonight! i have to walk there :( luckily there's ampage there already. my drummer is unhappy. it's likely to be a shambolirific event

the surface noise (electricsound), Monday, 15 March 2004 07:17 (twenty-two years ago)

if you have to walk there then you can have a few beers and thats a really crucial part of band practise.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 00:38 (twenty-two years ago)

i had beers, the others didn't, but it was a good rehearsal, and we will have four new new songs to play at the gig after next! hooray

sweeeeeet!

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Tuesday, 16 March 2004 07:03 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
well, we kicked the person w/too many commitments outta the band, so now we're a bitchin synth/drums duo. unfortunately, we can only really practise at the ex-bandmate (& our drummer's ex-boyfriend)'s flat, using his drumkit. er . . . hmmmn.

still, we should be able to practise heaps - had our first practise in this incarnation today - & i think i've got an inkling of how to write songs!
