What should I ask them?

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 02:33 (twenty-two years ago)

They're from Wellington. Have you seen them Liz?

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 02:34 (twenty-two years ago)

No but there is or was big graffiti of their name on a wall along Cuba St.
I read an interview with them, they were talking about how they drink cups of tea.
I want to see them but I'm scared of the audience.
Ask them about their sexuality! I say that mostly because my friend Karl refuses to see/acknowledge anything "gay" about Mozza.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 03:23 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that Karl the Steely Dan fan? In any case, wasn't Morrissey sposed to be celibate?

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 10:33 (twenty-two years ago)

Surely I can express some preference concerning who I don't sleep with?

Stephen Fry (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 13:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Ask them if a better tribute wouldn't be to use the inspirational example of the Smiths to provide an aid to creating new and wonderful pop music, something like that

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 13:30 (twenty-two years ago)

yeah, ask them about their sexuality. & blah blah the tensions between whatever were what produced the smiths &c&c&c SO WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YRSELVES?

etc, Wednesday, 17 March 2004 14:33 (twenty-two years ago)

So I should just mumble into the mic for a bit then shout "So what do you have to say for yourselves?"

Minty (Minty), Wednesday, 17 March 2004 22:58 (twenty-two years ago)

ask them why they cant write their own tunes, leave the smiths alone!!

morrissey, Thursday, 18 March 2004 00:19 (twenty-two years ago)

Yeah that, I bet they've never heard that one before. And tell them Morrissey said so.

Livvie (Livvie), Thursday, 18 March 2004 01:04 (twenty-two years ago)

Ask them what kinds of flowers they like, and if they don't say a native type tell them to fuck off to England!
Oh dear I started out trying to think of some nice questions. Umm... do they do any solo Mozzer stuff? And is Wellington the MAnchester of NZ? And what do they think of the Wellington Clash, Police, and U2 cover bands.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Friday, 19 March 2004 00:31 (twenty-two years ago)

I wish I could think of something serious for you to ask them, all I can think of is things like "so why on Earth do you bother?" and so on. Sorry, dog.

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Friday, 19 March 2004 05:41 (twenty-two years ago)

ask them how long it took to learn how to play the guitar part for "this charming man", and if they plan on moving onto bigger things, like being an interpol cover band

the surface noise (electricsound), Friday, 19 March 2004 07:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I just got back from this gig, they were good, eh. Like, really good. Unfortunately the crowd was riddled with disgusting smoochy couples, ugh.

Minty (Minty), Saturday, 20 March 2004 13:05 (twenty-two years ago)

was it on saturday? i kinda woulda liked to have gone, but oh well, you all know how it is.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 21 March 2004 11:03 (twenty-two years ago)

How does a tribute band being good beat listening to a couple of records w/some beer and people, tho?

Mr Mime (Andrew Thames), Sunday, 21 March 2004 15:02 (twenty-two years ago)

Well, I guess I would rather listen to music at home than at the scummy uni pub, but the show had flowers and girls.

Minty (Minty), Sunday, 21 March 2004 23:13 (twenty-two years ago)

what kind of flowers?

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 22 March 2004 01:21 (twenty-two years ago)

I like the sticky plaster on nipple, lolling around in a suffering way

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 22 March 2004 01:24 (twenty-two years ago)

I like the sticky plaster on nipple, lolling around in a suffering way Morrissey.

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 22 March 2004 01:24 (twenty-two years ago)

cuspidorian (cuspidorian), Monday, 22 March 2004 01:26 (twenty-two years ago)

two weeks pass...
Ask him whether he'll get a girl and sing lah-de-da with a Beautiful South tribute band.
