The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 25 July 2004 22:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i'd say more but i'm feeling too sorry for myself over nuthin

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Sunday, 25 July 2004 22:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi Di, aww. I know the feeling. It sucks.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 26 July 2004 04:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Anyway what's the best "alright" in rock? I think it might be John Lennon on any version of "Revolution". Or Iggy anytime he says it on "Funhouse".

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 26 July 2004 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

do you even have to ask?

Velvet Underground - Rock'N'Roll

chris andrews (fraew), Monday, 26 July 2004 05:08 (twenty-one years ago)

mick jagger on "jumpin' jack flash"!

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Monday, 26 July 2004 08:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Those are great too, it's the best word in rock!

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Monday, 26 July 2004 12:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Does "Hey Ya!" count? Cos there's about a dozen in that.

Minty (Minty), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

That so counts, a lot more in the spirit of what I was meaning actually

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 27 July 2004 13:26 (twenty-one years ago)

so now that we've got that settled, who had the best "WELL" in rock?

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Thursday, 29 July 2004 09:18 (twenty-one years ago)

I like Buddy Holly's 'Well... Alright' but this needs some proper research

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Thursday, 29 July 2004 09:36 (twenty-one years ago)

my vote goes to elvis on "good rockin' tonight." hell, i don't think there's any elvis song where he DOESN'T go "WELLLLLLL..."

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Thursday, 29 July 2004 10:04 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't like the song very much but lulu's "we-e-e-e-e-e-elllll" at the start of "shout" is pretty great.

The Lady Ms Lurex (lucylurex), Friday, 30 July 2004 01:42 (twenty-one years ago)

wow, lulu did a version of "shout"?

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Friday, 30 July 2004 07:55 (twenty-one years ago)

"I'm All Shook Up"

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

New Elvis thing for $30 new "Elvis at Sun Studios" (I think), does anyone know if this is as good/better/way worse than a "Sun Sessions" Lp? Cos there wasn't a copy of that around and I want that shit BAD, baby.

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

i wouldn't pay $30 for it, i got it for $13! it's missing a couple of outtakes that you can get on the 2-disc "sunrise," apparently, but it's nice to have all the official stuff on one disc anyway.

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 14:38 (twenty-one years ago)

$30 for me's not much in US$ tho, about um $13 in fact! Unless you were converting for me. Ok, it sounds pretty perfect. And IT'S ON VINYL YUMMY YUM

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Thanks for the information, man

Andrew Blood Thames (Andrew Thames), Tuesday, 3 August 2004 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)
