i hate moving house

i have moved house so many times i got it down to a perfect routine, which rooms to pack and how long it would take and how many boxes wee needed bla bla bla.
that didnt make it less stressful though, because something always goes wrong - it rains, the next place falls through and you are stranded with 2 days to go, the truck breaks down, you name it we have had it happen.
this time i am moving with my baby son in tow and IT IS VERY STRESSFUL!!!!!!!
the logistics of packing whilst still keeping out the hundred and four things i need for him, worrying about the 'moving day' and how i am going to keep him happy and fed and having his nap when i will be moving furniture..........i am going insane!!!!!!!!!!!
plus i have only been in nz one year, came back with nothing yet somehow now i have a flat filled with STUFF. it must grow in dark corners when we sleep or something.

I completely agree. Moving home is one of the most stressful things you will do in your life. I just moved recently and it was awful. Well, moving home is the 2nd most stressful thing you will experience in your life. Bereavement is the most stressful.

four weeks pass...

You think you got it touph I cant stay in one place for more than two weeks people are forver moving me everywhere! One day to el cajon one day to oceanside and the next fucken day to romana. Moving sucks ass.

i am just about to move into a very expensive place which sux because now i will have no choice but to drink in moderation. fuck. urgh. argh. i also have re-acquired my car, somehow i think i'm going to regret a lot of things about this year.

we are moving again. i cant believe im doing this but it is the right decision, its just a drag having to go through it all again so soon.
oh well, hopefully this will be the last move for a very long time.

thanks di, no we are going to go live in whangaparoa with a friend of mine who needs a flatmate to share her home.
just a better option financially and also as far as company goes. we will also have our own private space ( plus she has a pool hahaha ) so all in all its good.
i will be sorry to leave onehunga, really like it here but i have to think of all the benefits of what is being offered for my boys sake.
did i see you mention you are also moving? ( some thread or other ) good luck!

thanks donna, the move went well, i love my new place, it's beautiful, spacious and i get morning sun, and i don't mind at all that i now have to watch my finances more closely. this place is worth it. Wow, a pool, that sounds awesome. Best of luck to you too.
