Kind of makes me think of this unfortunately soft and very muddy thing I did last year that I desperately want to re-do properly, but can't work out what chords I played on the guitar (cos I cant play guitar, ha)

First chord sound like a straight up Dmaj.
Second chord - (E-2nd fret A-2nd fret D-muted G-2nd fret B-2nd fret E-muted)
Third chord - (E-4th fret A-4th fret D-muted G-2nd fret B-2nd fret E-muted)
Fourth chord - (E-muted A-open D-muted G-2nd fret B-2nd fret E-2nd fret)

That's at least how it sounds to my ears.

1) your drums sound good! whatever kit you ended up picking up, nice job.
2) YOU sound good! it's obvious you're striking the drums with some authority, and your tempo is generally solid.

LL i know we're going to play together live at some point but also if you ever just want to send me drum recordings like that i can try and make songs on top of them. might be fun.

n/a - ok! i put the drum part by itself on soundcloud too -- can you download it? i have no idea. i can send it to you too if you want. that's my best one so far, but maybe after lesson on friday i will have more to offer.

really i was just glad it came out sounding like i meant it to and i figured out how to do all the things (like the 3 things) i wanted to do in garageband. it has been a SLOW learning process for me, but i'm getting there.

giving my new keyboard - guitar - loop pedal setup a runout despite not yet having a fully functional amp*, really i wanna be herbie hancock and john mclaughlin at the same time, but having absolutely no knowledge or ability transforms it into something that may only make sense in my head.

*i ordered one and then i received an email saying the container it was on sank and so it's now at the bottom of the ocean. this augurs well for my musical future

Actually only just seen this - we really don't think of ourselves in that way! Obviously I've put out records on both those labels so it's no insult, but in the main we feel pretty different to that stuff.

I'm still finding it hard to process the fact people think my music's any good, I'm still my worst critic. I guess thats a good thing.
