honestly i've been having a hard time leading up to this album release because it's been sitting around mastered for a long time now (beginning of the year, and the mixing was done awhile before that). i've moved on to other projects and feel like i already went through the whole emotional cycle (excitement, disappointment, acceptance) before it's even come out. but it's probably healthy not to have very many expectations.

I did a beattape type thingy of all the hip hop beats I created when I was really into that sort of thing. Lots of drum breaks and jazz samples; the best stuff is at the end of "side B", as I just got better as I went.

Got recordings of a solo voice piece I wrote in April. Pretty different for me: first time I tried writing something for solo voice, working with text (outside of a songwriting context), or doing something with this sort of dramatic element.
