This was fun because the other producer wrote the main loop as a demo, so I just got to arrange it into a full track and only think about sounds & layers. I wish I could work like that all the time (also had only one day to get it in, which helped with committing to decisions).

i don't sing on it at all but i'm v proud of the drumming. i also love all the cool vocal parts my bandmates came up with and i especially love how there's a track on the album where i don't have to hear my voice at all lol

our album comes out tomorrow and then we're playing a release show on saturday! i'm so excited

oh lol my kick drum pedal fell apart three songs in and wouldn't stay together after i fixed it but otherwise it was p solid. played in the hot basement of a bar i think we've all vowed to never play again

if you do read it and wonder why we're apparently releasing a "split EP," the dude from the band wanted to buy promo, but he wanted to promote both albums we have coming out this year (one without me, one with me), but he didn't want to PAY to promote two albums, so he apparently told them it's a "split EP" so he could give them tracks from both albums and get them both promoted for the price of one??? i don't know

I liked it, especially the breakdown at the end. The vocals were a little odd at first but they grew on me by the end of the song. Cool stuff!

dog latin, is this all you? Just in terms of production quality, it has a really nice, warm sound. The song is really good, too. I love how it feels kind of formless. I'm expecting a chord change or a refrain at certain points and it doesn't come right away.

I worked out a neat trick where I sped the tempo of the whole instrumental track up to double speed (without changing the pitch, then slowed it down back to the original speed (this time with the pitch changing).

then I did it again, slowed the original track right down to half tempo, then sped it up so it was the same original tempo but pitched up

then I overplayed these two tracks on the original sound and it gives it this weird harmonic fullness

what I'm saying is you essentially have a pitched down track and a pitched up track layer over the top of the original and it gives it this sort of thrombing sound
