Thanks! I don't think I'm doing anything particularly original with them, unless I've somehow stumbled across some perfect combination of effects in Ableton. I'm less picky about them than I used to be - obviously there's thousands of drum samples in Ableton and I used to spend ages going through them to get the perfect kick or whatever, now I just listen to a few and go 'eh, that'll do'.

Oh, wow, thanks. Tbh, it had been long enough since I made it that when I came back to it now, it sounded a bit foreign and I wasn't even totally sure it worked anymore. It's actually very affirming to hear that people are enjoying it! I'm planning for a limited physical release of the album in January at this point.

realized i should have posted this here instead of the other thread. i recorded the loops & the rest live in my basement, no overdubs or other people involved :)

I have been working on doing solo stuff all year (what other choice?!) and finally recorded what I consider the best sounding version of this improvised solo percussion jam. I recorded another one that is similar but this one turned out groovier so I am sharing this one. (description: instrumental solo improvisation with various small percussion and drumset)

it was just me noodling in the same old basement, only our furnace stopped working and just started working again a few hours ago :-/
i made the loop and then played on top, it's just a bunch of little sounds spliced together w the looper. thank you for listening!
