Are you trying to learn on a full-sized guitar? There are guitars with smaller scales that are more suited to players with smaller hands.

Grow larger.

I have small hands and always complained that I couldn't properly use my thumb on power chords the way many do. After complaining, a guitar playing friend said, "dude, little girls play guitar, you can too". I imagine finding the right guitar neck, something smaller, and learning good form, and practicing a hell of a lot, you could get used to it.

Yeah, go for a guitar with a shorter scale and skinnier neck such as a Fender Mustang or almost any of the Daisyrock guitars. Go to a guitar store and pick up every guitar you can get your hands on until you find one with a neck that feels comfortable to you. It may take you a while to find just the right instrument but it's worth the search.
