seriously, I've had friends recommend them to me before, but honestly I should have ditched the crappy stock bridge on my J-bass years ago....this Badass II bridge is a TANK! getting tons more sustain now....so worth it.

Hmmmmmmm.... Somehow my bass has escaped being hotrodded while I've been busy upgrading half of my guitars.

The difference with the Leo Quan is pretty striking, unplugged the strings will ring out like a string through setup. I've got these bridges on both of my Jazz basses, one came stock and the other was an add on when I tricked out my Mexijazz.

I've been tempted to put on my 78 Precision bass, but it still has had the original for 25+ years and I figure I should just leave it be.

I guess Leo Quan's strat bridges are also supposed to be pretty good.

yeah i'd leave the old fender alone, but this is a mexican one...the bridge has given me fits since day one....always had to carry allen wrenches around to jack up the saddles, cuz they would always fall down...tried the crayon trick, and glueing nothing helped...

next I'm thinking about getting some of those new fender noiseless single coil pickups...

The Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Jazz bass pickups are great, I like them even better than the Fender Custom shop vintage which came in my Geddy Lee Jazz bass. I put the Duncans in my Mexican Jazz bass with a Leo Quan and it is the one I use the most.

Matt, avoid the "vintage noiseless" jazz bass pickups at all cost. Thin, lame. Hopefully, Fender will make the Samarium Cobalt Noiseless available this year as an after-market part...I should know within a week or so. Quarter Pound Duncans are great, BTW.

thx John....I heard they were good, or read that they were online.

I wish Eclipse wasn't so far! I should take it to y'all next time but I got lazy....how much are those duncans?

I think this is what you guys are talking about? looks like they run around $50 each..that's not too bad at all...those noiseless fender ones were really expensive

...it's too bad these have that gae "basslines" logo on them, looks dorky. i'll probably get these if/when i get new pickups though....
