Feelies gear: effects, specifically

Just wondering if anyone has ever found any info on the gear The Feelies used.

I really like the Eno-esque leads on "Fa Ce La". How do they do that? Lots of the guitar tones were achieved by DI into the board, is my best guess.

Lots of cool fuzz tones on the later albums. Anyone ever seen a rundown on their gear? Thanks.

all i've ever read is that Crazy Rhythms was completely DI into the board.

I sure like the Fa Ce La lead tone. Must be something like a slight phase with lots of overdrive. Very cool.

seventeen years pass...

I saw the Feelies on Friday - they're not touring, but they did a pair of shows these past two night at Brooklyn Made - and in hindsight I wish I photographed their pedals. I was at the very front and could have reached out to take some photos with my phone, but by the time I got that idea, they were already into their second set and it would've been extremely rude to be holding my phone over the stage like that.

GREAT show FWIW. Opening hour-long all-instrumental set as the Willies, heavy on Eno-related stuff (including some stuff from Bowie's Low and "Heroes") followed by a full set as the Feelies with four pairs of songs serving as encores, including tributes to Jeff Beck ("Heart Full of Soul") and Tom Verlaine ("Glory"). Also a couple of humorous moments when someone asked Brenda if she was still married. She politely said "very much so" to which an audience member added "he's right over there jackass!" Later when they were tuning up for an encore, someone talking loudly in perhaps unknowingly cartoonish fashion remarked "this is going to be grrrrrEAT!" Both Bill and Brenda heard that and just looked at each other with a polite grin.
