Bullet®

0310000 Squier Bullet: a simple, affordable and practical guitar designed for "beginners and students".

So I've been wanting a damn guitar for awhile. Someone bought me one. It was 70 bucks at a sam goodie... which means... this is more than likely a "crappy" guitar, but what do I know.

Anyways, I need to buy a amp... any suggestions?

If you're looking for something similarly low-buck but still high-grin, the Vox Pathfinder 10 would be my choice. Should be easy to find for around $70.

fender blues junior for cheap (relatively) but very very decent tube tone at fairly low volumes.

okay so sam goody also has a fender amp for 100 well 30 percent off that so 70 bucks also... do you think i should go back and just get that one?

That's the Frontman 15G, yes? Get it if it makes you happy. For about the same buckage though, I'd go with the aforementioned Pathfinder 10, or maybe the new Kustom Tube 12 (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Amps?sku=481230). I haven't heard that one, but Kustom's Arrow/Solo 16 models were pretty impressive for the price.

I might get this before the Frontman: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Amps?sku=481134

If you think you're going to be serious about playing, you might want to buy a really really cheap practice amp just to have something to make noise on until you can afford something small but nice like the Blues Jr AaronK mentioned. Reason being... Blues Jr and similar small "cheaper" amps are the the cheapest stuff you're going to find that you won't likely outgrow as you get better and become more discerning about the quality of your gear.

The Pathfinder Roger mentions did get a lot of good reviews, but that may or may not mean anything... :)

right - a good small amp like the blues jr will stick around, you'll likely still find it useful and nice as you (and your ears) mature as a player. try craigslist maybe?

one month passes...
like someone said above me, I would go with a vox pathfinder, they're cheap and sound great. There's no point in spending more than a hundred or so right now anyways. Good luck!
