Specifically the one in Stop Making Sense that he uses on 'Slippery People' and some others: light brown, smallish body and large headstock. Can anyone identify this?

Thinking about it, it looks a bit like a smaller-bodied Les Paul, so maybe it's a Gibson one, but I don't know. I will attempt to put up a screen capture later.

It looks a bit like a Gibson SG, having done some more research, but not quite

Believe it or not, it's a Roland.

It's one of the "GR" model guitar controllers for the earlier roland guitar synths (clues = "GR" logo on headstock, controls)

I have found it: it's a GR-303 controller. Apparently they don't exist on the face of the earth anymore. It is modelled on the Ibanez something or other-NT though, which also doesn't appear to exist. Shit.

The Ibanez they list on that page as being "Similar", the "2681NT", isn't that similar to the gr303, though:

I used to fancy the twin-neck version of the 2681, the 2670:
