Then in 1993 I needed to move, and had no car and no space (or noise abatement) for drums. I sold the whole kit, with cymbals and hardware and all, in a pawnshop for something embarrassingly like $100. Nowadays, the snare alone would be worth at least that much.
But mostly I just miss the sound, which was really very supple and full for a metal snare.

One that sticks in my mind(because I could use the sound about now) is an Epiphone Firebird VII. It played decently, the pickups worked(microphonic, though). Same story.Really needed money.I also kinda miss the Jackson FB-2 and my Christmas RG.
many sucky sucky ones, too.The best one was an Eko electric hollow 12. The neck joint was broken, but I could fix it nowadays.I smashed it in an experimental recording. two half stacks and at least one combo was involved. LOUD.

The idea was that he would have two outputs and a mercury switch, by means of which you could change your output from 1 - 1&2 - 2 by simply holding it with the neck at different angles. As far as I know, he may have succeeded and it may totally rock. I guess I should try to get a hold of him.

2005. I sold an Epiphone Archtop Dot because all my money was going towards rent, weed & cough syrup. Guitar Center gave me all of $100 for the guitar and the hard shell case.
2007. I come home on my birthday to find my Epiphone Archtop Dot laying on my bed. My girlfriend and a small group of friends had found the guitar and bought it back as a gift. Best shit ever.

i dig those V4 heads. i was sorta selfishly glad when our bass players SVT head went out and he had to go back to his V4, although i know he wasn't. he's had to fix his SVT about 5 times now

I wish I'd never sold the Bentley Rhythm Ace. Even if I did find all the samples on my backup drive, it's still not quite the same.
