Anyone have an Alesis MMT-8? Looking to turn off MIDI note velocity.

I could edit each individual note to be on the same velocity, but would rather just turn it off.

Anybody?

Not vital, but using Juno 106 with it.

would it not be easier to turn velocity off on the keyboard your inputting the data from? or set it at 127? then every note you play into the mmt-8 would have a value of 127.
my mmt-8s internal battery died, so it can't remember anything when you switch it off. the thicko.

Thanks -- will give it a shot on the Juno.

I don't think you can do that with the Juno, it's too early a MIDI synth. You may want to look into, though it may be more of a pain then it's worth, but they used to make these little devices, these MIDI filters. Also, while I know you use the MMT to NOT use the computer, I'm sure you can get some freeware MIDI filter software and just run through that. Juno -> Computer filtering out Cont. Controller 7 -> MMT-8.

Did you check http://www.mmt8.com?

I have one, but never got too far with it and now all the buttons don't work very well.

Yeah, I'm glad that web site exists, but it's just a reprint of the manual.
