Would it actually sound good with a keyboard or are you just saying that...?

(I don't know anything about amps)

No, it wouldn't. There's no horn.

i use it as a keyboard amp. i bought it expressly for that purpose. but it depends how you like your keyboards to sound (standard keyboard amps don't have enough low end for me).

I'm afraid to even get involved in this, given my luck with "can I play this instrument through that amp" threads, but here's the deal. Yes, you can play a keyboard through a bass amp. However, a decent keyboard amp will work better/sound better. I hope this doesn't come as a shock to anyone.

As a longtime student of the bass keyboard, I am not only shocked but also, additionally, appalled.

I seem to have that effect on people.

When I've used a bass amp for a keyboard, I've lost tons of high-end. One particular bass amp I commandeered for this job would barely produce sound for notes in high registers: the volume was reduced by a factor of 10 or more. Perhaps this particular Peavey is special, though, and better.

it works particularly well if you are trying to cut down the higher registers and fill out the low end, which i was trying to do with a particular keyboard i have (traditional keyboard amps with it = audience members clutching ears in pain). it's clearly not for everyone.

somebooddddddddddy take my amp...$50...less...i don't care...please i'm moving in a week!
