OK, not literally true, but I'll be happy to dump Quattro/Peak/other crap in favor of the highly excellent Cool Edit->Audition->(Soundbooth).

Audition is a sweet app with a great interface. I mostly work in Logic Pro and Pro Tools, but it'd be great to have this handy for batch processing, 2-track editing, and/or premastering. Bring it on!

Audition is unstable and buggy.

It's gota great interface, but I have to reset it every 10 minutes or every large change(if you can call changing 6 levels large) in a mix or it won't play.

Cool Edit, however, is stable as all get-out. I haven't had any problems with Audition yet, but I haven't really stressed it like I have Cool Edit.

GZeus, have you checked your audio driver settings? I've never heard of CEP/Audition being unstable before, they're both pretty simple apps. Maybe disable any directx/vst plugins you are loading up.
