This is possibility a bad idea on two levels, but if we put out a record called "tomorrowland" will we a.) be sued by disney b.) be releasing a stupid album title? (more thoughts on a please, if possible.)

I think as long as you don't name a theme park "tomorrowland" you should be ok.

Yeah, even a band name might raise issues, but I don't think an album title will

you should still use a disney themed name in hopes that the lawsuit will be bring you free publicity.

If we ever get to that level, we may as well call it "by the members of Radiohead featuring Chris Martin"

Call your band Rabiohead

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Saturday, 27 January 2007 14:55 (eighteen years ago)

Or "free with any purchase of Radiohead CD."

Titles of things are exempt from copyright, actually -- hence, say, there being a Will Ferrell movie called Kicking and Screaming not so many years after Noah Baumbach's, or the movie Garden State being unrelated to the book.

Also, there's a band called Tomorrowland.

Damito, Jo!

"Ann Arbor, MI's Nick Brockney and Steve Baker are known collectively as Tomorrowland. They are part of a Michigan-based space rock and electronic scene that also includes Füxa, Asha Vida, Auburn Lull, and quite a few others. Tomorrowland's influences included Krautrock, psychedelia, early Brian Eno (especially Discreet Music), Seefeel, My Bloody Valentine, Teutonic post-rock/electronic acts like To Rococo Rot and Mouse on Mars, and various others."

Well... at least they have interesting influences--and sound like that ineffable quality that suggests Tomorrowland. Now we need another name that's optimistic, nostalgic, and newold.

Maybe we'll just call it Lucite.

It's a small world after all.
