ProTools HD tech help - plugin automation

Is anyone here a ProTools wiz? I'm having a weird issue I can't quite figure out. In some of my sessions, when I try to automate a plugin, the window will pop up but the list of parameters to automate is totally empty, no matter which plugin I choose, so I can't do anything. Other times it seems to work fine. Is there some setting I'm missing here?

Alternately, can anyone recommend a different forum where someone might be able to answer this?

Oh, and it's ProTools HD 6.5 (I think) on Mac OS X.

that's interesting -- intermittently happens with any plug-in? I've never seen that, always comes up for me.

can't do better than http://duc.digidesign.com/ for questions.

you need to enable automation on parameters individually.

there's some sort of "ctrl alt apple - click" quick key to do it.

oh yeah..

each plug-in has a button that says "auto", click that.

oh wait, that's not yer problem..gimmie a sec

Yeah, the problem is after I click the "auto" button, the window pops up and the list where you can choose parameters to automate (master bypass, wet/dry, etc.) is completely empty for every plugin. It's a real bummer.

I'll try that digi forum, though.

2) What is rockism? Rockism is the idea of using synths in pro tools. This idea is all about the composer or producer of the album. They use this technique in pop music alot, and its also a way that people can express them selves. This rockism is a great help to crappy bands to make there sucky music sound better. Anyway basically this idea improves the cd by adding fake sounds, which makes the music more rockin'. Whenever I record music in my studio, i have to confess that I too use this technique or method, but its the future people! And it has been a standard in the past... I do not not think that rockism will ever fade out of the process for recording.
