I am bummed out because I just found out that Quantegy stopped making my 1/4 inch reel-to-reel tape.

No, there's still plenty (well, not plenty, but supplies of) 1/2" and 1" tape, also, tape is fairly reusable as long as you know how to bulk erase it properly, so that's another solution.

a friend of mine who works at studio told me last night that quantegy did go down, but there is another company (RMI? I think, i was kinda drunk) is also making tape right now...and another company is getting their manufacturing in order to start making tape.
