So I was thinking that it might make sense to just collect all of these IMM myspace links/band page links in one spot for easy retrieval. Hey, why not?

personal (no I don't have any songs posted):
http://www.myspace.com/johnjusten

The incredibly non-featured new page for my struggling, messy, and inefficient store:
http://www.myspace.com/eclipseconcertsystems

But enough about me, lets talk about you.

Ok, shameless self promotion? This might be the place to talk about THIS:

you guys are sounding tight, n/a

Hurting 2, Friday, 11 May 2007 14:49 (eighteen years ago)

Thanks. I feel like a lot of those songs are old and unrepresentative, "Enough Isn't Enough" on MySpace and "Krakatoa" on YouTube (which our drummer put up even though it has a pretty major flub in the middle) are the two newer songs that I think better represent what we're doing these days.

That's awesome - what kind of print is that, and who did it?

Hurting 2, Monday, 14 May 2007 12:29 (eighteen years ago)

I made it mine own self! It isn't a print, it's just a pen and ink line drawing with a bit of digital manipulation to do the fills and gradients. I've just got a new set of calligraphic pens so I'm experimenting with them.

Hot beats on the D&B stuff Jordan! If you want my opinion, I think you need a little more going on in them outside of the drums, but the drums are sick.

That would be fun, except I have no recording device right now. If I'm ever in your part of the country I'm down for it though.

Bless this mess, in the middle of making this a catchall for all the dumbass projects I do as "bands" that have like two songs.

At Monkey Town:

Saturday, May 26
Admission: $5, $10 minimum
Doortimes: 7:30 and 10pm
reservations are recommended

Two bands from Locust music:

Begushkin: Big ass psyche rock band playing songs from upcoming LP Nightly Things among others. Takes the time honored American Gothic themes and recasts American, Middle Eastern, and Eastern European folk rock into a witches brew of rock arrangements, resulting in a beautifully disorientating trek through wilderness.

True Primes: the swathes of feedback that scythe through "In the surf" from We have won , the tumbling biscuit tin drums, male and female voices screaming and getting molested by cheap effects pedals, maybe a little Harry Pussy if they slowed the hell down and took the time to really fall apart.

six years pass...

Is the thread to ask for help with self-promotion? I was going to start a new one, but what I really need are some pointers in shameless self-promotion bc i am experiencing a great deal of shame
