I like how you can see the grain through the ebony finish.

I just got a Firebird a few weeks back. It is a sweet sounding guitar. The only thing that I don't like is that it is a pain in the butt to string with those tuners. It seems to stay in tune pretty well, but those tuners are totally funky.

I love firebirds in the hands of others (Manzanera! Manzanera! Manzanera!). The few times I've tried one (and I haven't really spent much time with any) I haven't been able to get used to the So... Much... Neck... but I have the same problem with SGs...
