We only ever get requests for our own songs, because our songs are awesome. Usually they are requests for old songs we don't play anymore, in which case I turn down the request in as assholish a manner as I can.

I think it was Wire, but I could be wrong, who would turn down requests with "We are not a jukebox."

If someone requests one of our songs (or at least one of the songs we usually play), we are generally so shocked that we give the people what they want.

Trying to play a song we haven't practiced recently is a recipe for disaster. So there's a practical side to my dickosity.
