I bumped a thread about this on ILE also, but I'm guessing you all might have a bit more direct experience and understand that I don't need something that will make my junk shake while playing Halo 3.

Any suggestions? My most recent info seems to be pointing at this http://www.digitalaudio.com/DIGITALAUDIO/myarticles.asp?P=5210&S=75&PubID=4401#EmptyAnchor

Needs to be PC based (;_;), no need for multiple ins as it is being used for this nightmarish open reel tape transfer project I've been doing for several years now.

...with the added benefit of making your junk shake while playing Halo 3

Thx, but I need 2 balanced matched inputs, and it looks like that has one mic level and one line level, so it won't really work for what I'm doing. Does look junk-shake-worthy though.

From what I'm hearing from the usual cast of geekos, DAL is one of those small-production audiophile 2 guy shop sorts of things (who I generally/often think are full of shit), which is probably why almost no one I talk to has ever heard of them (myself, prior to a couple days ago, included).

D4n, the guy who makes gr34t r1v3r preamps is the one who recommended them to me, and he tends to know his shit, but I'm doing the old second opinion thing I guess.

actually i spoke too soon... they seem like cool guys, but that price (399) is a bit much for what they're selling
