Crude idea:

- run a stage mic through a PA
- mic the PA
- fold that into your mix (or just use it entirely)

recorded on a four track/recorded in a studio? what mic, etc.?

also, is this a situation where the voice sounds the same in both cases but works for a live show vs. not working well on a recording?

nabisco, the problem w/your idea is that you have to distance mic in order to get frequency balance out of a two way cabinet, at which point you get weirdo room phase issues and all sorts of other crap working against you.
