had a successful experiment w/MIDI last night! it was way easier than i thought and will be very useful in the future. thx to nabisco and tombot for advice.

the downside about this kind of breakthrough is that feeling of "oh shit, i should have been doing this all along, maybe i should go back and re-record everything?"

Thanks to a better microphone, new drivers, and finally learning to really lay on the compression, I can now record guitars at home that sound as good as I want them.

I've finally gotten round to learning how to play the bass properly after two years of it more or less sitting there, and I came up with a very cool Tina Harrison type riff.
