Completely insane distortion. only way I can play guitar:

http://www.proguitarshop.com/images/products/1218_01.jpg

Best ring modulator ever. Mic input, 2nd modulation source, more solid than a brick.

http://www.frostwave.com/images/blueringer.gif

Not technically a pedal, but you can always add a stomp switch. Modded to increase delay from 800ms to 40s (a tradeoff in bit depth to like less than one) and to self-oscillate in a couple of seconds.

Homemade FX loop pedal with feedback knob. Centre stage here:

Far better than the overpriced DSD-2, really want the 4 second version:

Cheesy, but impossible not to love:

Can we post pics of homemade gear as well?

Um don't take the lack of response as an excuse to get out of posting pics of homemade gear.

ok thanks, got to recharge camera batteries first

First off, Marshall MS-2 - bought at a car boot sale with the logo already missing. Obviously it's not a pedal but it's small and runs on batteries and it sounds good. I added a socket to allow an external speaker to be plugged in.

This is the "Stupid Face", a FF based pedal using high gain silicon transistors. Really nasty fuzz, but only one sound. The knob controls volume.

Box that combines a treble booster, op-amp fuzz, BMP tone stack, and octave up...

Again, not a pedal, but the left section is a tremolo/boost, and the right section is a boost/fuzz. Centre section is a stereo amp.

can't believe how $$$ new bass drum pedals are these days

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Thursday, 27 August 2009 22:52 (fifteen years ago) link

I got the one above used for like 1/3 of what they sell for new. I bought myself a new double-bass pedal (trying to learn said technique) and it was seriously $$$ ... the only positive thing, is that they charge the same for leftie models as rightie ones, and I feared that there'd be gouging going on because I'm in the minority.

what happened? i am confused. (sarahel), Thursday, 27 August 2009 22:54 (fifteen years ago) link

those tiny boss r-series rack units look fantastic, just lost out on the chorus ensemble but gonna hold out for another one, either that or the ce-3 pedal

lol @ google for boss r-series coming up with nothing but Chrono Trigger links.

This was the first pedal I ever bought (found very used at a pawn shop for about $20). I was never sure it actually worked like it was supposed to, but it made some great sounds and, at the time, all I really wanted to do was learn U2 songs. It fit the bill.
