This is a long shot but... Anyone wanna play a gig in Hitchin, North Herts on November 21st?

Our headliner pulled out, and we're really disappointed. We had a big night planned and were preparing to get a fairly big name down to play. Sadly management companies don't seem to be interested in rockin the suburbs any more (Madness, the Specials, The Fall and Spandau Ballet all played Hitchin in their heyday). My events venture's last gig saw Damo Suzuki headlining and I was really looking forward to putting on an even bigger act, but sadly that's not to happen. We really want to bring something fresh to our little town - we've got a great venue with a smashing PA and friendly, professional staff, a Dickensian theme, great DJs - no bands.

Please don't make me have to put on another of the same bands as every other promoter from our local circuit. Hitchin's got a great crowd and we promote our nights really well. If you're serious about playing, drop me a line dog latin AT g mail dot com. Also welcoming variety acts who bring teh weird and wonderful, so if you're into shaving without a mirror while an old lady plays the violin with her teeth, I'm totally up for that kind of shit.

Hi Dog

Sorry I can't help directly - I'm in a very amateur band and going in for an operation on 16th. However, my sax tutor is in this band http://www.bluemeaniesbanbury.co.uk/

No idea if they're booked up or not, but worth a call.

His name's Barry - tell him Matt sent you.
