I am a terrible guitar player, and have zero interest in joining a band (much less the ability to). But I like to practice and make noise, and I'm in need of $$$$.
I have four guitars:
2007 Danelectro - can't remember what they call this model. Two lipstick pickups, big wide neck, it's really easy to play. Probably not worth selling when I factor in the PITA of shipping it.
2007 ESP/Edwards relic Telecaster - '50s style, I didn't really love it to death. Japanese retail was ~$1100 then and it's harder to get guitars from Ishibashi/etc. I figure I can get right about what I paid, $800
2007 ESP/Edwards Les Paul relic - sounds really good, but this is a guaranteed sale for about $1000
Tacoma-built Guild D50 acoustic (all 'real,' no laminate woods) - pretty beat, I got it from a youth minister who played four nights a week. I think it should be worth ~$700-800, but I never see them up on Ebay or anywhere.
I'm thinking: keep the Dano & acoustic, sell the two worth something, and when the economy isn't in the shitter get one really nice Telecaster (Fender Thin Skin or one of the custom builders or G&L - $1500 range)
Please confirm the plan is solid or tell me I'm an idiot.

If you really want that humbucker sound then keep the LP and the acoustic and sell the other two. But it sounds like you're looking for a more Tele kind of thing, so your plan of keeping the Dan and the acoustic and selling the other two is probably much better. Also when you've got the cash later, I'd recommend going with a G&L instead of a Fender.
