Yeah, just don't let Dadaismus get ahold of it, or he'll never give it back.

I've been away since yesterday morning, so of course I got pwn3d :(

The tuning seems kind of interesting, s I made a nte of it. I guess I'll buy a cittern kit from troubador next month.

four weeks pass...
Anyone have any experiences with the Ibanez Talman guitars, like this one?

I remember really wanting one when they first came out (when I was like 13), and they are pretty cheap now. Harmony Central reviews are almost all positive.

Based on a quick eBay search, it looks like I should be able to get one for even cheaper. Good bargaining info.

I think I may buy it. After I try it out. Because no one is telling me I should do otherwise!

I think this thread is now officially my blog.

Sorry, I was napping for a few days...the Talmans are cool, and if the one you're looking at is the one with the three lipstick pickups (I think it was), that's the best of them. As long as you're looking for jangly jangly sort of sounds.

By the way, depending on condition, book value should be between $175 (in beat to death condition) to $525 (in sparkling new showroom shiny). Looking at it, I'd say it's 90%, which should make $325 a fair shot. Enjoy.

Hey, thanks for a response! Since she's asking $300, I might try and get her down to $250, just for the bargain, but it's good to know that $300 is a decent deal to start with.

The lipstick Talmans sound really cool if you like the sound of lipsticks. Every Talman I've played too (3 of them) felt much better than an average $300-$400 guitar as well.

I am also a big fan of the older Blazers. Esp if you like Strats but want a good cheap guitar you can abuse without much worry on tour or on stage. Prices on those have gone up a bit tho as some folks have started to sing their praises, so maybe I should shut up... :)
