the rolling totally self-indulgent "can I fucking sing?" thread

think we probably need a thread where people who can't sing (or don't know if they can sing) post clips of their singing & people who know better give constructive criticism just shake their heads.

I honestly can't tell, though, if I sound like a tone-deaf mess or just a garden variety untrained indie kid. I hardly ever sing in public or even in front of family and friends. anyways, this is what I sound like on a cheapo mic, unaccompanied (except for the last clip, where I multitracked my voice and slowed it down a bit):

Don't worry -- you have a perfectly good voice and you do a good job using it. Good multitracking too. Keep on singing, man.

I think you need to sing in a way that you like - it doesnt matter if other people say you can sing, unless you never listen to your own music. some of my favourite singers have what Simon Cowl would say is a terrible voice.
