It approaches. Some cool stuff I can talk about (EH analogizer)and prob some stuff I am not supposed to talk about yet unless prompted (Hint: Ibanez is finally listening to me it seems re:amps). New crazy ass Eastwood model, which is no shock:

also as much as it kills me to say it because i have no love left for them, the Fender Excelsior is kinda intriguing, although now it looks like all pictures of it have been taken down so idk if that will actually exist or not

so the dumbest stuff i have seen so far is a dead heat between

1. the guitdoorbell. no really. www.guitdoorbell.com

2. a new amp guitar hanger called the guitar hook-r which allows you to hang your guitar between the airbrushed breasts or ass cheeks of a faceless lady

i would be so into that if they didnt have the humbucker in the bridge and left out the center pickup. wondering what the scale length is too, hopefully 28+.

on other news of the insane, Washburn has released the worlds first production acoustic WITH A B-BENDER in it. and parker has released a guitar with auto-tune built in. no really.

meh to 27" scale baritones

oh i can actually confirm now that the ibanez amp news stuff was the addition of a 5 watt tubescreamer amp (which i reserve judgement on until i hear it) and a 30W combo which is going to be totally badass and sell for $600 or so.

Re-designed Korg Kaosscillator/miniKP with new actually useful features (built in mic/speaker, mini SD card slot, more informative OLED display)

And the supposedly 100% analogue Arturia Minibrute

JJJ, was it NAMM or NUMB?

-anything stand out in the masses of cool looking pedals, cool looking guitars, cool looking amps, cool looking displays, cool looking looking, looking, looking swirling into a 'what year's expo is this?' melange?

'affordable' buchla lolz

owenf, Friday, 27 January 2012 00:20 (twelve years ago) link

it felt like lots of new stuff but nothing really stood out. digitech made some iphone app pedal where you can download whatever but the raw pedal is $149 and each pedal model is $5-10 so idk that seems awful to me
