naming a record label

i've never not had a name ready for something before. i think im intimidated by knowing i have to stamp it on large amounts of things and see it a lot. want something short, approp, not "cute" (although i really love "very small records", the name and the label), opaque, and not used before (by someone big). what record label names do you like? what are yours called? let's talk about it and maybe it will help me think of something.

some great labels have awful names, that's encouraging. "20 buck spin"

Never had a record label, but I once thought of the name 'Chat Records', as in 1) 'chat' as in talking with someone, 2) 'chat' the French for cat, 3) 'chat' pronounced as in the French for cat, but meaning 'shat'...

also what about "recordings" and other things instead of plainly "records"? i guess in general it bothers me.
